Joseph offers a wealth of knowledge and experience to musicians, churches, and the community. He earned his Bachelors of Music Education at Montana State University where he also played in the Wind Symphony, Spirit of the West Marching Band, Chorale, and various chamber groups. His primary instrument through college was clarinet but he also took four semesters of piano, passed a guitar proficiency exam, and took one semester of vocal lessons. In college, he began writing music and working with worship bands in local churches. Upon graduation, he moved to Great Falls where he took a General Music position for Great Falls Public Schools.

After a few years, Joseph had decided to continue his education and go back to MSU to earn a Masters of Education with an emphasis in Music. During this time he grew in music technology, vocal pedagogy, music analysis, and educational techniques. In addition to formal education, a worship mentorship became available through his church that worked with Candraall4him Ministries to grow his skills as a leader, musician, and worshipper.

Home Base Music has been buying music gear to rent for events in the Great Falls area. We have provided gear for large local events including "The Soiree" hosted by Spark the Arts booster club and provided extra gear for "The Gathering Summer Outreach" hosted by The Gathering Ministry and Candraall4him Ministry.

Joseph has been blessed to work as a music teacher, worship leader, provide mentorship to many worship teams, and release original worship music from his home studio. Through his own journey he can also offer insight into becoming an independent artist. After receiving these amazing mentorships and skills, Joseph dreamed of being able to pay it forward. After founding Home Base Music, he's now able to mentor and work with artists, musicians, and teams to give them the opportunities that he was given. ​
